Southfork strives to produce a dog with a special blend of drive, looks, tenacity, style and natural ability.    Studs are chosen based on similar criteria that can cross well with our program to enhance temperament, trainability, intelligence and performance.  Keep in mind, all of these qualities take a back seat to the most important quality: temperament.  As much as we love the field, and training dogs for upland/waterfowl hunting, as well as hunt test events, all of our dogs must be great house and family dogs.

The line up in our kennel was chosen based on proven genetics; health clearances, ownership experiences and results in training.  We love to run hunt tests and continue to develop that part of our program but we also built our program around dogs who can flat out hunt.  Quality genetics is the foundation of it all, followed by proper socialization and providing the appropriate environment to develop a dog and of course training.  Southfork offers Labrador puppies, Golden Retriever puppies and occasionallly German Shorthaired Pointer puppies in Wisconsin.  We also service several clients from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota and several other states in the US.
