With our partnership with Contender Retrievers, and the longtime friendship between me and Jason (owner of Contender), I have known his dogs for well over a decade. Hogan was Jason's personal dog that lived in his home, went with him everywhere and was a dual purpose hunting dog that almost trained himself (literally)! He had an unbelievable pedigree, which initially may have been what drew Jason to him, but ultimately it was his once in a lifetime temperament that sealed the deal. Hogan was easy going, calm, easy to live with and as intelligent of a dog as anyone has seen. He would always be laying on the ground playing with puppies or kittens on the farm, and just loved to be out with everyone.

Hogan is sired by FC AFC Dare to Dream (Cosmo) and his mother is a daughter of a famous breeding between NFC-AFC Abe's Ebony and Ivory x FC AFC Little Ms. Chief! His pedigree is as strong as anything out there today. Hogan has been passed away for several years so this is a frozen semen breeding.

Amber is one of our breeding females that serves as a guide dog on Jason's pheasant operation. Her pedigree, much like Hogan's, is impeccable. Amber is sired by 2xNFC - 3xCNFC Truline's Just Floyd and her mom is a daughter to NAFC FC Texas Troubador.

Both dogs have OFA Good hips and normal elbows. Hogan is an EIC Carrier but Amber is clear so no puppies will be affected. The breeding took place on 9/17 so pregnancy confirmation will not take place until mid-October. This will be an all yellow litter and would be due on 11/16.
