Hank might have one of the best pedigrees you could find in a yellow Labrador Retriever. We wanted to pair those genetics with Shelby's stellar pedigree and hope for dogs that are very social, very intelligent and trainable. Both Hank and Shelby are gentle dogs that are tremendous in the house and still enjoy training and working. These dogs should be suited for active lifestyle familes, hunt test or field trial homes.

Hank is out of a litter that was the first ever pairing of 2 National Champion/National Amateur Champion accomplished dogs (NAFC Grady x NFC Flipper) that produced a Yellow Labrador Retriever. In the words of his owner Rick Wilke "a stronger pedigree is not possible to find". He is a 70lb male that was not only a great, consistent field trial performer (winning 2 amateurs in consecutive weekends to become an Amateur Field Champion) but a very proficient waterfowl and upland hunting partner. Hank is an ideal house pet, most importantly.

Hank has produced several HRCH and MH titled dogs. One of which is one of our offspring - HRCH High Plains Ready's Little Ricochet (Rioux) owned by Kaden Hush, trained and handled by Chris Jobman of Flatlander Kennels. Rioux earned her Hunting Retriever Champion (HRCH) title and is working towards her AKC Master Title (currently 3 passes and continuing to run this 2023 hunt test season).

Shelby is a very well bred dog that keeps getting better with age. She is very focused and loves to do her job. Shelby is very intelligent, and also sensitive, which when handled correctly means she learns from her mistakes and wants to do right. At just age 2, she has run a couple of derbies and has her AKC Master Hunter title. The next venture for Shelby in terms of hunt test events will be running HRC Finished tests (she has 3 passes).

Shelby's sire is FC Sweeties Easy Rider (Ford), a prominent all-age dog with 150 plus points. Quite simply, if this dog ran a trial, he placed in it. Ford offspring are not only successful in test and trial venues, they are manageable dogs in the home and field. We love how biddable they are and think they are strong candidates for anyone wanting a trainble and enjoyable companion.
